The places of action are far away from cities; in areas that usually remain hidden from ordinary tourists. The kind of work volunteers carry out in various countries around the globe cover areas such as social work, education, culture, tourism development, as well as animal and environmental protection.

Together with the local people, the volunteers contribute to making life better, work in nature and environmental areas, learn a lot about their respective country, culture and its people, as well as learning about themselves. Working either as a loving carer in a children’s home in Ghana, as a teacher in a school in Thailand, or as a helper in the national park on the coast of Costa Rica, or on a lion project in South Africa – the assistance of all those volunteers is highly appreciated. Besides all that work, there is sufficient time left to explore and get to know the country one has chosen to visit.

This kind of “holiday” can be booked and is for people over the age of 18, with more than 2 weeks of time and a big sense for travel and adventure. An absolute must is tolerance, openness, showing a lot of initiative and loving the outdoors.

There are also excellent orientation courses available before project begin that are perfect preparation before one begins to embark on this adventure.
